holycross

Hello to all,

It is morning and about to rain outside and I am just sitting here thinking about the path to heaven. The path to heaven is the only path to be following in my opinion. In the book of Philippians its says "Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. For as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their God is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ". Philippians 3: 17-20.

What does Citizenship mean? It means "Home". Our home is in heaven. God wants each and every person at home with him. In order to claim our home with him, we must believe and worship him each and every day. We should pray to him, be thankful to him and stay on the path to heaven. I believe that God will be right beside us if we have faith. Sometimes a challenge may come up in our life and the devil temps us to take a side path, because as the old saying goes, "The grass is always greener on the other side". I once knew a person that was married to a wonderful man. She decides she wants to get on the internet and chat late at night. She finds a website for old school buddies and finds her old high school sweetheart. She sends him an email and they start talking. He was married and so was she. They later meet in person and decide they both want out of their marriages. They make arrangements and she files for divorce. She moves closer to him. The grass is so much greener they are thinking. Well it wasn't because everything fell to pieces and he couldn't divorce his wife. So, now she was all alone and lost everything, all because she thought the grass was greener. Was it? No, it was not.

People don't be tempted by this. The grass is not always greener on the other side. God wants us to stay focused on him. It is not about what kind of car you drive, how much money you make, what type of clothes you wear, what type of education you have, and the list goes on. These are worldly things that will perish in the end. We should not be focused on worldly things. We should be focused on God and following the path to heaven. It is about being in eternity with God and not being in the pit of hell burning. Which had you rather do? I must say these words are so realistic and there is so much competition and greed in this world today. People are disrespectful, focused on worldly things, this world is filled full of sin. I pray to God that all who read this will ask themselves, "What path am I following"? We must not live in sin. We must obey the ten commandments and be thankful for what we have and pray to God every time we think of him. We must be on the right path.

I pray for every person in this nation that God will touch their life and show them the way. I pray that God will give every person he touches the strength to get on the right path. The path to eternity in Heaven.

In Christ,

Jennifer
